All or part of your exam (and sometimes your eyewear) may be covered by your insurance. There are two types of coverage that may be involved: your regular medical insurance and/or a separate vision insurance plan. We suggest that you check with your insurance carrier to see if you have routine vision care benefits.
Medical Insurance
If you have a medical eye condition/complaint your exam could be filed with your medical insurance. This includes diabetes, cataracts, dry eye, allergies, glaucoma, macular degeneration, headaches, and many other problems.
Some medical policies also cover an annual routine wellness exam. Please let us know if you have routine vision coverage.
